Selby recently added a certificate in snake catching to his resume. As there are occasionallly snakes that get into the super pit site and office area some intrepid KCGM employees were asked to volunteer to attend a snake catching course. They started off handling harmless pythons (see above photos) and the proceeded to learn how to catch dugites, tiger and brown snakes safely. Basically it involved a modified golf club/forked stick and a black hesian sack. Apparently snakes would rather run away into a dark hole than attack. Let's hope that's the case!
