Coolgardie Day

Petting the baby animals Watching the parade
Well today was the famous Coolgardie Day, and being a nice sunny spring day we decided to make the 40km journey west of Kalgoorlie. It turned out not to be an original idea, with a lot of post-Kalgoorlie race round goers also deciding it would be a good day out. It was really quite an impressive display, especially considering that Coolgardie is practcally a ghost town! It was much better than the dismal Kalgoorlie fair! As you can see from the photo, Ethan thought the baby animals were very exciting, but the hit of the day was his helium balloon. (The best $1 we have spent for a long time!)
