Storm

After a very hot and humid day on Tuesday we had a massive thunderstorm which produced strong wind gusts and sideways rain followed by hail! We lost the main branch off our big bottle brush tree, but were luckier than a few others down the road whose fences and cars were crushed by massive falling gum trees. It was all over in about 20 minutes, it was much cooler, less humid and the sun came out again. As you can see from the photo, the amount of water dumped in that short time was phenomenal. the boys had a ball playing in the water on the road (closely supervised of course!). Ethan stripped off immediately, shortly followed by Owen after he was drenched from nearly being swept down stream! The water had almost completely drained away about an hour after this photo was taken.
