The Great Ocean Road!

 

Nice spot for a lunch stop!

The drive along the Great Ocean Road is truly stunning, but also windy, slow and super busy!! I can see why there is an average of 60 casualty crashes per year along this stretch. There are frequent signs reminding people to drive on the left hand side of the road in Australia, which hints at the number of international tourists that self drive this route per year. The iconic 12 Apostles are located just out of Port Campbell. As we drove past the car park to view them was jam packed with cars and tourist buses. We decided to wait to see them until early the next morning with the hope of avoiding the crowds.
