Watching the fireworks
We had a lovely, relaxing day at home for Australia Day. We were joined by Pete, the Chapmans and briefly the McKails for spa-ing and pizzas. After everyone left we decided to go and watch the fireworks down at South Perth. We were only gone for 1 hour and 15 minutes, unfortunately long enough to be broken into! The bastards managed to steal our whole safe by levering it up and cutting the bolts securing it into the concrete pad. All my gold jewelry, gold coins we had bought for the boys when they were born, passports, birth certificates and BOTH my external hard drives with all my digital photos were in there. Fortunately 2 days later the safe was dumped in the park across the road from us and my hard drives were recovered and working. The rest was covered by insurance. It did put a bit of a dampener on the day, not sure we will be going to see the fireworks next year!
