In our household bookweek usually sneaks up on us and minimal costume effort is involved. However, somehow this year we managed to be a little more organised and the boys all decided a week beforehand, which book character they wanted to dress up as. I even made Owen's pigeon costume from scratch. Can't go wrong with a few cardboard boxes, pain and gaffa tape! An added bonus is that Owen wants to go as the pigeon again next year!
