To be expected, starting school in a foreign country was pretty daunting for the boys. Ethan and Owen's first day was a bit of a disaster, with lots of tears. Thankfully now they are settling in well to Year 3 and Year 1 and both have nice teachers. Declan's start to formal schooling was a challenge for everyone involved! It's a pretty big thing to move to a new country and then start full time school for the first time. After a week and a bit of quite extreme behaviour and distress, he finally seems to be settling into preschool (as it is called here). We are very proud of him and relieved that he is enjoying it.
