We had hoped to make it to Fowlers Bay for the night, but again the weather was against us, being cold and windy and rain forecast for the next day. So we decided to set up camp on the roadside just out of Penong. The sight was next to an old schoolhouse ruin, and turned out to be one of our favourite camping nights of the trip.
