In order to avoid having to go all the way to Port Augusta to get on the Eyre Highway to drive home, we took a gravel road shortcut from Glendambo to Wirrulla. It really was in the middle of nowhere, but the road was in excellent condition and surprisingly well signposted. The route passed through a lot of stations and was a really interesting part of the trip. We were glad to get back on the bitumen at Wirrulla though!
